I take photographs all the time of various places in Des Moines. What often drives me nuts is how few photographs there are of various landmarks from even five or ten years ago. You can find ten billion Sunset from my condo over the Olympics! but nary a photo of the hundreds of places I treasure (and took for granted). And frankly? That is why these things are so easy to replace.
