Spring Recycling Collection Event – March 22, 2025!
Time for some Spring cleaning AND recycling! Join us for the Spring Recycling Collection Event on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Des Moines Marina (South Lot)! 
What to Bring:
– Electronics/Computer Equipment (some fees apply) 
– TV Sets (no charge) 
– Tires (fees apply) 
– Lead Acid Batteries 
– Alkaline Batteries
– Propane Tanks ($10 charge, cash only) 
– Porcelain Toilets & Sinks ($25 charge, cash only) 
– Appliances & Scrap Metal (some fees apply) 
– Refrigerators/Freezers ($35 charge, cash only) 
– Bulky Wood 
– Mattresses/Box Springs ($35 charge, cash only) 
– Rain Barrel & Compost/Worm Bin Sale 
9 AM – While Supplies Last
$25 each (cash only) – Rain barrels, compost bins, and worm bins to help you save water and recycle more at home!
Where:
Des Moines Marina, 22307 Dock Ave S, Des Moines
(Enter from the south entrance off South 227th Street)
Please remember: No vehicles will be allowed after 3 PM.
Important Notes:
– Exact cash for fees is appreciated.
– Some items will have fees (see list above).
– Household goods, clothing, Styrofoam, and hazardous waste (paint, motor oil, etc.) will NOT be accepted – visit local facilities for these items.
